Grant Expands Economic Development, Creating More Jobs
A local business will be looking to expand its workforce very soon, says Sierra Hignite. In Greene County, Governor Holcomb made a stop in Greene County to celebrate new opportunity for local workers.
A five year contract that will allow Integrity Defense to build components for Crane to support the Marine Corps. This announcement brings about high paying jobs for local workers.
Currently, the company employs 15 people but this new contract will allow on the job training and more work to be available locally in the coming years.
"Supporting Greene County means a lot, a lot to me. So we will definitely look to the Greene County base. Then we are a certified Hub Zone company. So at lest 35 percent of our work force has to stay in a Hub Zone area , which is Greene County," says David Burkett, CEO of Integrity Defense.
Governor Holcomb has been pushing to increase the number of high paying jobs in Indiana, he says he is excited to see economic development continue to open up jobs for Hoosiers.
